Bio:

Abbey is one of the last daughters ever sired by VC Shooting Starr's Son of a Gun MH "Sonny".  Her mother is Sharp Shooter's Von Greta a "Shooter" who is a Int. CH VC Shooting Starr's Sharp Shooter MH direct daughter.  This genetically makes her a beautifully line bred female based on Enzstrand, Hustler, Essergreif, lines going straight back to the original foundation stock of Shooting Starr Kennels.  These genetics are all but non existent in today's shorthair world.

Abbey is a very special female and makes friends and admirers with everyone she meets.  People rave about her quiet, easy going, sweet nature.  She is our resident sweet pea couch potato.  Being so gentle and calm, you'd never know she's around unless you go looking for her.

She is a tall leggy girl that covers ground nicely, hunts close with a super nose, and truly lives to please. Abbey is a retrieving machine.  She carries something around in her mouth almost constantly, and willingly delivers logs from the woodpile to hand nearly every trip out.  She is incredibly kind hearted, and always has a tail wagging greeting for anybody that will let her crawl up in their lap or pet her.

She is one of the favorites with all kids and is always willing to tag along with them on games and adventure. She will be a great asset to our program in creating true family companion gundogs.
